Plating
Craft
Would you like a craft that is different from the run-of-the-mill stuff? Would you like it even more if it was profitable?
Have you ever arranged for your child’s first shoes to be metal plated? Perhaps you know a car enthusiast who is unhappy because the chromed fittings are becoming tarnished?
Almost anything can be plated, but it will cost you good money to re-plate existing work, and even more to create brand new metal plated jobs - unless of course you do it yourself.
Stop. Don’t glance in an encyclopedia to find what chemical you’ll need, and rush out and buy them! Have you found out yet about the government regulations? Have you decided how you will dispose of toxic chemicals when you are finished with them?
If your friends complain about getting their car fittings re-chromed, work out how much the job would cost you before you offer to do the job for them. And if you mean to start earning money from it as a business, have you considered regulations about land use and how you will keep accounts for the tax man?
It would be so helpful if you could just get all that information by just searching Google, but good information on metal plating and/or electroplating is extremely hard to find. All over the country there are thousands of individual folks just like you, that are very interested in learning how to do their own metal plating.
Well, now you don’t need to be a detective to track down all the information that you need. Craig has gathered all the information in one place, and you could get the benefits of his experience and be studying it in a few minutes time.
